Sharon Tote
A sweet, small tote bag in a gingham pattern creates the perfect accessory to carry your necessary items to any event. The colorwork pattern is knit flat, while the top band is worked in the round. Instructions are included for an optional lining.
Size 13¾“ wide and 12¾” tall, not including handles
Yarn Plymouth Yarn Galway Worsted (100% pure wool; 210 yd 192 m/100 g):
• #769 lapis heather (MC), 1 skein
• #134 field mouse grey (CC), 1 skein
Gauge 21 sts and 24 rows = 4” in charted patt
Tools
• Size 7 (4.5 mm): 16” and 24” circular (cir) needles
• Marker (m)
• Stitch holders
• 18” purse handles with pre-punched sewing holes (shown: camel 19.3” byhands genuine leather purse handles from www.byhandsusa.com)
• Sewing needle and strong thread (such as buttonhole twist) to match handle color
• Tapestry needle
• Optional: Piece of lining fabric cut to 14¾“ wide and 23½” long and thread to match fabric
