Shadow is a simple and quick cabled hat with unisex appeal. It takes only one skein of Classic Elite’s luxurious Toboggan yarn and can be completed in an evening, which makes this hat a great gift or instant gratification project. Shadow’s cables, knit in a large gauge, are elemental and organic, reminiscent of shadows on snow at twilight.

Please note that you may need to go up one or even two needle sizes to match the gauge, otherwise your hat may be too tight. I am a loose knitter, and while I have made literally dozens of these hats and they all fit average-size adult humans, I know plenty of knitters who have needed to knit this hat on size 13s or even 15s to match gauge and get a good fit. This hat also works best with a super bulky yarn, not a bulky yarn.
