Shabak Shawl
by Yasmin Gamal
A triangular shawl with a simple openwork stitch, that is lacy but still quite substantial. It is knit from the top center and is edged with garter stitch. Shabak is Arabic for nets and this shawl looks like simple netting stripes. It is also a medium sized shawl, but you can knit more repeats or less if you would like to modify the size, you could also knit it all in stockinette and work the edge only in the lace repeat for a different look.
Finished size 2 yards wide, 1 yard deep after light blocking
