Segue cardigan is worked flat in one piece top down, starting with a provisional cast on. It is a companion to Segue Cardigan, adult sizes, available here

After working short rows for the shoulder shaping, the back piece is worked to the underarms; front pieces are worked and then the rest of the body is done in one piece. Both colours are used at the same time, one for the right side and one for left, meeting at the middle of the back, using the intarsia technique. From time to time, one colour is used for the whole piece, alternating and creating the stripes.
Sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round, with stripes mirroring the main body pattern, before ending with a 1/1 Rib cuff.

MC: 2 (2, 2, 3)(3, 3) balls Rowan Felted Tweed 8 ply (DK weight) - 50% Wool, 25% Alpaca, 25% Viscose (175 metres/191 yards per 50 grams), shade 157 Camel.
CC: 2 (2, 2, 2)(2, 3) balls Rowan Felted Tweed 8 ply (DK weight) - 50% Wool, 25% Alpaca, 25% Viscose (175 metres/191 yards per 50 grams), shade 198 Zinnia.

The other sample used colours Clay and Eden.

Gauge

23 stitches & 34 rows/rounds = 10 cm (4”) in stockinette stitch, blocked.


Needles and notions
3.25 (US 3) or size needed to obtain gauge in the following lengths:
-100cm/40” circular needles for body, neck and button band
-DPNs or 30 cm/12” or longer circular needles for Magic Loop technique, or size to obtain gauge for working the sleeve in the round.
4 (5, 5, 6)(6, 6) buttons of 15mm diameter.

Finished dimensions and sizes:
2 (4, 6, 8)(10, 12) years old, finished chest circumference between 68cm/26.75” and 87cm/34.75”.
To be worn with 10-20cm/4-8” positive ease. Pictured in size 2.
