Sedona Shacket
This shacket cardigan takes your fall wardrobe to the next level! With its faux button front, and ombre-colored cuffed long sleeves, you’ll stand out from every angle. Instead of making button-holes, this design uses snaps which allows for more flexibility in placement of the buttons. Show off your handmade style and stay cozy!
This design does not have button holes. You can use as many buttons and snaps as you desire. You can also choose whatever size buttons you like.
Sweater is worked from bottom up in one piece until the armholes. It then splits into two front panels and the back. Shoulders are seamed. Sleeves are worked into the armholes in joined rows, then split to make the cuffs. Button panels are added to both front sides, and then the collar is added to the neckline.
Because this garment doesn’t have button holes, you can swap the buttons to either side. In mass-produced clothing women’s shirts typically have buttons on the left (when facing the shirt), and men’s shirt buttons are typically on the right.
For the sample, the Chroma yarn was color controlled. The yarn was matched up on the front panels to have the same color change from bottom to top. Two balls with the same starting color were chosen for the sleeves.
