This is a pattern and technique all in one. Pattern has detailed pictures showing you how to work a seamless dc hat and it has detailed photos for how to work a color change with the technique.

All of the pictures of the hats are taken right at where I raise the rounds.

I have tried to figure out a way to get rid of the seam on a regular dc hat for a long long time. Sure, you could work it in a spiral but then you can’t add stripes. Sure, you could cut the yarn and start in a new spot with a Ch 2 that looks like a dc but then you have extra ends to weave in. I gave several stabs at working a seamless dc hat over the years but nothing ever worked….until now.

You can use this technique with other stitches for a seamless tc or hdc hat and with other yarn weights and hook sizes.

Newborn, 3-6 mo, 6-12 mo, Toddler, Child, Teen/Adult, Lg. Adult

Basic needs for pattern are worsted weight yarn and I hook.
