Scintillate Table Topper
This is a lacy pattern, worked from side to side for the main stitch area, then bordered with a semi-solid edging to finish it off. It was made to use most of a Whirlette.
It is not quite square but careful blocking can bring it to square if you desire. Try any brand of 4 ply (fingering) cotton or cotton blend yarn. Gauge is not crucial to this design. Proficient crocheters could extend the main part of the topper to make a rectangular piece instead.
An optional way to finish would be to thread ribbon through the holes in the border as a contrast.
