Saskatoon
Saskatoon is a hooded scarf, worked the long way, with a waffle stitch texture and garter stitch borders.
This pattern was inspired by one of my Canadian friends who needed something to wear when walking the dog in the dead of winter that would protect her head and face and not give her hat-head. Although Californians may scoff at its lack of style, we northern types understand that the importance of keeping warm sometimes trumps style.
