These are so darn cute!! Another of my original designs…because of the nature of these little ornaments, gauge is not strictly important. The idea for me was to create a mini Santa Stocking to pop a gift card, or pandora Charm, a Necklace or a few home made treats in, and then pop it on the tree. Even embroider an initial on the leg, for a personal touch!!

To make tiny weeny ones, use smaller needles, to make really big ones, use multiple strands and large needles. You will have a heap of fun experimenting with the SUPER EASY beginner knitter project.

The tops can be made using any fun yarn - feathers, ostrich, faux fur, mohair - whatever you like to give the impression of a warm fluffy top!

So easy you can make one up in under an hour!!

working the leg section: (this is worked after completing the decreases for the foot section):
Knit 12 rows without shaping and then continue with working the top of the stocking :)
