Santa Fe Gossamer Lace
This is the second in a series of gossamer lace shawls using Orenburg-style construction with symbols and graphic elements from the American Southwest. It’s a large, 36 peak square shawl.
I’m leaving it up to you to choose your favorite lace-weight yarn for this project. I give photos of 2 examples in the text of the pattern.
There are detailed instruction on Orenburg-style lace construction if you’ve not attempted this before.
The brown version is with 2 yarns held together, both from Colourmart.
The green version is with a SuperFine Alpaca that is hand-dyed by Spruce Dragon (an Etsy shop) from Colorado, and wonderful to work with.
