PATTERN STORY
It was time for me to make a cozy, ‘woven’ shawl with some unspun yarn that was calling me from stash. This is simple and quick and so much fun to make. If you like this pattern, check out my Sandywell Scarf.

SKILLS NEEDED
Increasing & decreasing
This project is suitable for an advanced beginner

CONSTRUCTION
The shawl is knit flat from beginning to end

YARN
Wool Dreamers, Manchelopis - Bottle Green , 230 m / 250 yds per 100g

Project requires approx. 460 m / 500 yds, 200 g of Manchelopis. The sample was created with 2 plates, but milage may vary depending on how you knit.

This project should work with the same meterage in a worsted weight yarn.

GAUGE & NEEDLES
Gauge is 16 sts x 21 rows per 10 cm / 4 in in stockinette stitch
The recommended needles are 4.5 mm / US 7 with a 40 cm / 16 in cable

Gauge is not important for this project, but it will affect the drape and size of the final scarf. The instructions are written to accommodate any gauge / yarn choice.

RECOMMENDED NOTIONS
Removable stitch markers & a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
