Sammhain Scarf
Available as a UK version and a USA version.
A granny square scarf with a difference. Large and bold granny squares but made to have a lovely drape.
The motifs are based on my original retro granny square but here, the square incorporates cluster stitches for extra volume and warmth.
The scarf consists of 9 squares, joined using a join as you go technique, with a border and edging.
I used Stylecraft Life DK in five colours: Cranberry, Zing, Cognac, Copper and Claret. The scarf uses most of the 100g ball of Cranberry but over half a ball of the other colours are left over to make matching gloves and a hat.
Tension is not important but you need to be consistent to make sure all the squares come out the same size approximately.
