Salix Alba
Salix Alba is a 3/4 sleeved sweater, with a circular yoke featuring a pattern resembling arrows or branches. There is a wordplay in the name - in Swedish, the Salix tree is called a “pil”, which is also the word we use for “arrow”.
The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in the round and has short row shaping and a folded collar for that neat finish. The pattern is suitable for both experienced knitters and adventurous beginners, and it can be knit up in a high contrast for a dramatic effect, like the original sample, or in softer tones for a more subtle look.
