Salish Sailing
Available exclusively with your passport at Island Wools during the Slow Yarn Crawl from May 24- Sept 2, 2019.
A wonderful sail shaped shawl that is very flexible. Use a Whimsical Colors gradient kit in any size by itself, pair it with a coordinating color, or try with two complementary colors! The sample shawl uses a small gradient set, using the darkest color for the eyelet sections. The shawl is worked from the tip of the triangle to the short edge.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Size: 44” deep with a 70” wingspan, or larger if more yarn is used.
Yarn: 30g (130yds) each of 5 colors of Whimsical Colors Cashmere Bliss
Needle: US 6 (4.0mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 20sts by 36rows to a 4” square. While gauge is less critical for a shawl, your yarn yardage requirements will vary when knitting to a different gauge and the overall size of the shawl will change.
