This yarn is a very heavy worsted and because of the thick and thin nature, it knit up nicely at bulky gauge rather than a worsted. if substituting yarns, i recommend using a bulky that has a recommended gauge of 3.5 sts/inch, rather than trying to knit a standard worsted at a really loose gauge.

the model is wearing this garment with a little bit of negative ease, which is why the sleeves seem more fitted. the sleeves for each size are roomy and have very little shaping (i wanted almost straight sleeves). since it was designed to be a jacket they will be very wide at the cuffs. if you’d like a more narrow, shaped sleeve, you can cast on for a smaller size sleeve and after the patterned cuff, you can gradually increase up to your sleeve size’s stitch count.

The built-in pockets and cozy hood of this simple round-yoked cardigan give a little extra warmth. Two rows of eyelets around the yoke provide a channel for ribbon or an I-cord to be threaded through and tied at each end. The hidden snaps at the neck allow the jacket to hang open in an A shape.
