RUNDLE PARK RIBBED HAT

This simple hat has a 2x2 ribbed brim, a stockinette body, and a softly gathered crown. Using DK-weight yarn, it knits up quickly, excellent for last-minute gifts! This pattern is featured and included in Barb Barone’s Machine Knitting: Hats course in the School of SweetGeorgia.

The Rundle Park Ribbed Hat is knit flat. You will need to reform the stitches for the 2x2 rib (from Stockinette), change colours for the stripes pattern, decrease stitches, and rehang stitches. After removing the hat from the knitting machine, you will use mattress stitch to seam the hat together. For even more unique styles, go through your yarn stash and experiment with gradient, handspun, striped yarns, or make your own custom blends by holding two lightweight strands together.
