The Royal Tree-tment Tote is on theme for the holiday season with its tree motif but with the right color choice, it’d still be fun year-round - fortunately, Basic Stitch is currently available in 47 shades. This tote is a great way to gift a goodie bag while reducing waste &
adding an extra handmade flair to the gift as a whole. The project itself is special in that it’s double knit, making the bag reversible with extra protection due to its thickness & avoids the possibility of snagging items on floats.

You will need:
Color A: 2 skeins of Basic Stitch Antipilling in “Ecru“ or approximately 321 yards of medium weight level 4 yarn
Color B: 2 skeins of Basic Stitch Antipilling in “Pine Heather” or
approximately 282 yards of medium weight level 4 yarn

Pattern is constructed in the round using double knitting techniques, then, finished with handles & drawstrings.

Pattern is written with stitch-by-stitch color changing
instructions or you may choose to read the chart when
indicated, understanding that each box represents two
stitches: one that will make the outside of the tote and one
that will make the inside of the tote.

Double pointed needles are only used to knit handles &
drawstrings; you may also perform these on your circular
needles if preferred.

When right side and wrong sides are referenced, this means
Color A will be facing for the right side/outside and Color B will
be facing for the wrong side/inside. However, there is no real
right or wrong side as this is a reversible tote.
