Rosebud Blouse
This close-fitting top is shaped with bust darts and has a generous welt to sit comfortably over jeans or a skirt without over stretching.
The beautiful rosebud lace stitch has been paired with an unusual bobble rib, while the neat little collar adds to the vintage feel. Fyberspates Faery Wings is a 4ply blend of silk and kid mohair. The yarn is very feminine, slightly fluffy and comes in a range of gorgeous shades – just the thing for those summer days with a slight chill to the air.
The pattern has been set so that it continues around the back and front as though it were knitted in the round – especially if the side seams are sewn with mattress stitch.
The bust dart is worked over a half repeat of the Rosebud Lace pattern, so the back and front above the armhole change to mirror images at the armhole edge.
If either the body or sleeve is lengthened or shortened remember to adjust both so the patterns will align above the armhole.
