Roots mitts are a continuation of the Roots socks motifs inspired by traditional Ukrainian embroidery. These mitts are worked in the round, from the cuff to the fingers. The pattern includes a written description and charts.
You can use your favorite method for small-circumference knitting: DPNs, magic loops, or small-circumference circular needles. The pattern describes the knitting on small circumference circular needles.

Finished measurements
size 1 (XS/S), 2 (M)
7” (17.5 cm) / 7.5” (19 cm) hand circumference (around fingers)
0.7” (2 cm) thumb length
3.5” (9 cm) / 3.9” (10 cm) finished width
6.2” (16 cm) finished length
Measurements were taken after blocking
Gauge
30 sts * 29 rows = 4” (10 сm) in colorwork stitch in the round (after blocking) with US 3.0 (3.25 mm)
Yarn
Rauma Finull 50gr/175m – 100% Norwegian wool
main color 4123, contrasting color 4076
(for one pair of mitts you need about 25 grams of the main color and about 10 grams of contrasting color)

circular needles or DPN US 2.5 (3.00 mm), circular needles or DPN US 3.0 (3.25 mm), scissors, stitch markers, tapestry needle
