Rondo
Named for the Esperanto word for “circle”, **Rondo** is a showstopping jacket with a hypnotizing cabled medallion on the back and an interesting construction. **Construction Overview** 1. The center back cable medallion is worked in short rows. 2. The provisional cast on is invisibly grafted to the final live medallion stitches to create a circle. 3. Stitches are picked up along four sides of the circle and decreased to form a square. 4. Stitches are picked up along each side of the square to create a rectangular shape for the jacket back. 5. Pocket linings are knitted and slipped onto holders. 6. The two fronts are knitted, incorporating the pocket linings. 7. Sleeves are knitted from the bottom up. 8. All pieces are blocked and assembled. 9. The front bands/lapels and pocket edgings are worked. 10. Seams are sewn. You’ll learn a lot as you have fun knitting this useful jacket.
