Romeo
Romeo is also available as part of the Seven Colorwork Adventures eBook.
A stranded stole pattern inspired by Renaissance textiles and the work of the Italian designer Romeo Gigli and his love of ornate fabrics.
The top sample was knit on 2.75mm/US2 needles with 2 colorshift yarns sets:
MC Wisteria Gradation 189gr/856yds/780m and CC Zinnia Bridge 145g/656yds/600m
Total yardage used: 713yds/650m of Wisteria and 574yds/524m of Zinnia.
Unfortunately, ColorShift is currently unavailable and would appear to be discontinued. If you are looking for substitute yarns, ColorShift Yarn is described in the Etsy Store as a two-ply jumper weight (fingering) yarn milled from 23.5 micron superwash Merino wool that knits up at about 8 st/in on US1-2 needles (2.25-2.75mm). There is a Gorgeous Gradients group here on Ravelry which might be a good starting point for substitute gradient yarns, and you can click on the “yarn ideas” tab above to see what yarns have been used in Ravelry projects.
Finished dimensions: approximately 68x17.5in/172x44.5cm.
Gauge: 24sts and 28 rows = 4 inches in stranded pattern
The knitting includes back and forth stranding, bands of reverse stranding, and an edging of corrugated ribbing stripes. The reverse stranding prevents curling and creates a slightly pleated effect.
The pdf includes three charts and short written instructions.
Two of the charts are for the 2012 version and a variation of the 2012 version with deeper bands of reverse stranding and a different edging.
The third chart is for the 2014 version (shown in the bottom photo):
