After making stranded colorwork socks for Valentine’s Day for the past two years, I wanted to make something with lace and texture this year. These socks have a lacy heart outline and a textured inner heart, and the lace and texture is reflected on the sides of the socks as well.

They can be made with two colors as shown here, or have a little fun and make each heart section a different color!

I decided to call these the Romantasy Socks because escaping with an engaging romantasy book has been my go-to lately, and I thought it would be thematically cohesive to knit these while listening to your favorite romantasy audiobook!

Sizes: S (M, L) to fit 7-7.5 (8-8.5, 9-9.5)” or 18-19 (20-22, 23-24) cm circumferences

Yarn:

MC: 100g (437 yds / 400 m) of fingering weight yarn
CC: 35g (153 yds / 140m) of fingering weight yarn

If you would like to do each heart section in a different color instead of using a main color, then 20g mini skeins will work.

Needles: US size 1 / 2.25mm

Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle

Gauge: 34 stitches and 46 rows to 4” (10cm) worked in stockinette stitch in the round.
