Description:
The Rolling Wave Skirt has an elegant A-line silhouette, and the wave stitch pattern with several different colors adds both texture and visual interest, giving the skirt a dynamic and sophisticated look.
The skirt works sideways, starting with a chain for the length of the skirt and alternate sections of wave stitch pattern using main and contrast colors and short row sections in the main color. The short row sections widen the skirt toward the hem to create A-line look. Elastic is added to the waistband and it is up to you how tight or relaxed to make it.
The pattern has 10 sizes, models wearing size 4.

Skills:
Basic crochet stitches (ch, sc, hdc, dc), Work short rows (video tutorial included). How to make a seam using sl st (video included), and whip stitch.

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn.
Sample made with Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Merino, 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 220yds (200m)/ 3.5oz/(100g) in colors Flint Gray (MC), Cyan Blue (CC1), and Green Flash (CC2).

Hook: US H (5mm) hook (or size needed to match gauge).
Notions: Blocking mats and pins (or combs), elastic band 3/4 or 1 in wide, scissors, sewing thread, tapestry needle

Gauge: 17 sts x 16 rows = 4 in/10 cm for Wave st pattern, blocked
17 hdc x 12 rows = 4 in/10 cm for hdc st pattern, blocked
