The design:
Rock Pool is a highly textured sea urchin inspired square motif. It consists of 9 rounds. Rock Pool is an intermediate level pattern that requires a lot of concentration but the pattern will be come easier after completing a couple of motifs.

Cushion front is a serving suggestion, I made up a panel and sewed it to the front of a pre-made cushion.

Materials needed:
Rock Pool was designed using 4 ply/fingering weight Scheepjes Skies Light. Each motif used 55m (35m of the centre colour and 20m of outer colour) and is 14cm wide.
You can however use any weight yarn you like, meterage and size will vary.
Stitch markers.
Wool/darning needle.

Hook size:
3 and 3.5mm-4ply
4 and 4.5mm-8ply
Or the hook sizes you usually use for the weight of yarn chosen
Gauge: there is no gauge for yulan, use the hook you are most comfortable using for the yarn.
