Riverflow
Riverflow is a gloriously simple wrap with an all over squishy stitch pattern and addictive colour progression. The ombre effect is built from four separate colours and a clever marriage of striping and working on the bias to create an almost seamless transition between the skeins. The cohesiveness also comes from the natural pigments of Dovecote Yarn’s Polwarth/Silk blend, which glisten like fresh river water coming down off the mountains on a sunny day. Although written for a DK weight yarn, this wrap could easily be worked in a range of weights, from wispy and light to chunky and warm.
Yarn: 4 skeins Naturally Dyed DK by Dovecote Yarns; 85% Polworth/15% Silk; 300 yds, 100g;
Sample shown was worked using a gradient of four separate colors, from blue to green.
Needles: US 8/5mm circular or straight needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 15 sts and 22 rows = 4”/10cm in Twisted Moss Stitch, after blocking.
Measurements: 84”/213.5 cm x 23”/58.5 cm
