Rita skirt
Short rows and stripes of alternating stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch gives the elegant fit of this skirt. It is easy to knit and easy to adjust for size as it is worked sideways.
Sizes
(XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL
Hip circumference
Skirts circumference: (77) 82 (87) 93 (99) 106 cm // (30,25) 32,25 (34,25) 36,5 (39) 41,75 inches
Fits a hips circumference of: (90) 96 (102) 109 (117) 125 cm // (35,5) 38 (40) 43 (46) 49,25 inches
The skirt is worked sideways, so is easy to customise for size. The pattern texture also makes the skirt elastic so the skirt circumference can be less than the hip circumference. In the pattern (and in the picture) the skirt’s width is approx. 15% less than the model’s hip width. If you want a looser fit, knit it a little longer, but remember that you will need more yarn.
Length
You can knit the skirt is 3 different lengths, which are respectively approx. 44, 46 and 48 cm 17, 18 and 19 inches. The pictured skirt is 46 cm 18 inches long. The numbers for the 3 different lengths are shown with slashed (/).
The hip section measures approx. 16 cm 6,25 inches + 4 cm 1,5 inches waistband.
