Reversible Eyelet Cables Stole
This classically stylish stole in hand dyed yarn features mock cables with a border of herringbone lace. A special technique is used in this pattern to alternate two balls of hand dyed yarn every row in a way that avoids both yarn strands being carried up the same edge.

Size: 18” by 64”
Yarn: fingering weight: 2 skeins at 400 yards each (total 800 yards)
Suggested needles: US 7 (4.5 mm); although the stole is knitted flat, a circular needle is required so that knitting a row can begin from either end of the needle
Gauge: 19 stitches = 4 inches

Construction: beginning cast on is 88 stitches; worked flat in rows from end to end in one piece; no sewing or grafting
