“I love a classic stripe and wanted to apply them to an equally classic hat shape, the beret. Play up the contrast of your colors and go with a Marinière inspired combo, add a bright pop of color for your pom pom, or choose two harmonious neutrals, anything goes with this beret. This hat is suitable for all skill levels and comes in three sizes and two crown finishing options.” — designer, Lis Smith

Construction
- The hat is worked circularly from the bottom up.
- The crown of the hat is closed with either a length of stockinette fabric that is folded over and grafted to live stitches, to create a knit “button” top, or cinched closed after the final round and topped with a small pom pom.
