FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 
Mitts: Approximately 6 1⁄2 (7, 7 1⁄2)“ hand circumference 
Cowl: 16 1⁄2” circumference, buttoned
YARN 
Classic Elite Yarns Fresco (60% wool / 30% baby alpaca / 10% angora; 164 yards / 50 grams): 1 hank each 
 #5355 Rumba Red (MC) and #5336 Oatmeal (A) (Note: 1 hank each color will make both Mitts and Cowl.)
NEEDLES 
Mitts: One set of five doublepointed needles (dpn) size US 1 
(2.25 mm) 
Cowl: One 16” (40 cm) long circular (circ) needle size US 3 
(3.25 mm) 
Change needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
NOTIONS 
Mitts: Stitch markers (one in contrasting color for beginning of rnd); waste yarn; cable needle (cn); eight 3⁄8” buttons 
Cowl: Six 1⁄2” buttons
GAUGE 
Mitts: 14 1⁄2 sts and 22 rows = 2” (5 cm) in Stockinette stitch (St st), using smaller needles 
Cowl: 24 sts and 37 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch, using larger needles
