Like its cousin the ascot, this shawl shows off the floating beads so nicely. The 6/0 beads are threaded onto the yarn prior to casting on. This shawl is lightweight and warm with enough length and drape to add that stunning finish to any outfit.
As the name suggests the floating beads are created by unravelling the beaded stitches at the very end. It is suggested to use the long tail cast on method to provide a nice finished edge when the stitches are unravelled.
The alpaca/silk is unlike anything I have ever seen. I have 2 kits available in a burgundy (as shown) and white. Beads are included in the kit. See knittingkits.ca
