Quilted Project Bag
This project bag is formed by making 24 triangles and then arranging them in a hexagonal shape. Single crochet the triangles together, and then continue to add rows to the top of the bag to give it additional depth. Loops are created at the top, and four cords of double crochet are woven through the loops to create drawstrings. I made the bag using six different colors of Koigu, and when I finished, I had a little less than three hanks left. So, I think one can use fewer colors and make the bag with four hanks of Koigu. This bag would be a great way to use up remnants of sock yarn. Each triangle took about 9 and 1/2 yards of yarn to complete. The bag is sturdy and easily holds a small or medium-sized project.
The pattern pdf includes several photos showing how to make the double crochet twisted cords.
