Starting from a stretchy cast on and flowing up a double brim to a series of charted cables ending with sharp sock toe style decreases the Queeng Hat brings the best of watchcap, cabled hat, and sock shaping to create a unique silhouette that in any yarn stands up instead of slouching while creating and elegant utilitarian finished product. Furthermore designed to be knit with either 100m of Bulky Weight yarn or 200m of DK held double this hat is a great way to get to know a yarn before making an entire sweater!
The test samples of this hat showing both finishing and yarn options were knit in Brooklyn Tween Quarry in the Obsidian Colourway and in three colourways of La Bien Aimée Merino DK: Fiori, Winter Garden, and Peach Pom Pom. Please note that the bulky hat features the Three Needle Bind Off finishing option and the faded hat uses the Kitchener Stitch finishing option.
