Pysja
Pysja is a baby cardigan. The original was made for my newborn nephew, inspired by his parents. His father (my brother) is a golfer, and that´s where the diamonds come from, and his mother has horses, so he needed his own wee “lopapeysa” like all horsey Icelandic people have.
Pysja is the Icelandic for a baby puffin.
The pattern gives a choice between knitting flat (which can get quite tricky with three-color purl rows) or knitting in the round and steeking, in which case you should choose your yarns carefully. I have steeked all the yarns given in this pattern successfully, using a sewing machine.
