Pyre
Pyre is a single skein lace toque with an optional pompom. The pattern tells a tale of pyres shooting up to the sky.
The lace work in this pattern is both written and charted and would be a great beginner lace project for a knitter that is new to lace or wanting to try it out for the first time.
Finished measurements: One size - 20” 51cm around brim
Yarn: I used Studio Donegal’s Soft Donegal in the colourway 5508. Other great options are Brooklyn Tweed Shelter, Cascade 220, Malabrigo Rios, or any other worsted weight yarn.
Needles: US 7 4.5mm needles for working in the round.
Optional: A pompom. The one I bought was purchased from Knotty By Nature Fibre Arts and is rabbit fur made by local indigenous youth.
Gauge: 20 sts x 32 rows = 4” in stockinette blocked.
I hope you love your new Pyre toque.
