This lovely stole was the first of the feathered designs I created for this e-book. I love how the beads accent the segments of the feathers.

Pattern Notes
This stole is worked from the bottom up for each half and then grafted at the center.

You have the option of 2 main charts (Charts C1 or C2) depending on your yarn yardage. An additional chart, Chart D, is available if you want an even longer stole.

The feather motif is very heavily modified from Herbert Niebling’s Königskerze.

Yarn
Verdant Gryphon Mithril, 100% Merino Wool (750 yds / 686m per 4 oz /114g), 1 skein, shown in Starry Night Over the Rhone. As knit (Chart A, Chart B, and Chart C1 (longer)), stole uses 750 yds / 686m.

Needles
US2 / 2.75mm needles or size to obtain gauge

Gauge
21 sts and 32 rows = 4in / 10 cm in St st (blocked).
Precise gauge is not necessary, but alterations in gauge will affect yarn requirements.
Note that this shawl is blocked quite vigorously.
