The pun is intended ;) I designed these socks for my little girl — youngest of my 4 children. She has golden braids and is very much loved and spoiled by her big brothers who love watching movies and playing with words.
This pattern is a variation on my Cranes in Skeins sock pattern for one solid (or tonal) sock yarn. As a base architecture I used my 7 X‘s pattern that was designed to provide extra comfort without disrupting stitch patterns. The main difference, besides a solid/tonal colour, is a Braid Stitch panel that blends into a snug Braid Stitch cuff. It also helps with counting rounds.
