Primavera Stockings
The lace pattern at the top of these socks is from a pattern called “Stocking Pattern—With Points at the Top and a Diamond Throughout the Stocking” from The Ladies’ Knitting and Netting Book, published in 1838.
Finished Size 6¾ (8¼)“ foot circumference, 8½ (9½)” from back of heel to tip of toe; foot length is adjustable. Socks shown measure 6¾“.
Yarn Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock Yarn (75% superwash wool, 25% nylon; 427 yd 400 m/3½ oz 100 g): #5658 herb, 1 skein.
Needles Size 2 (2.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Marker (m); stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge 33 sts and 46 rnds = 4” in St st.
