CAROLINE BIRKETT’S cushion design is first knitted in a smart Fair Isle pattern using two shades of grey, with a wide pink band running through the centre. The back pieces include ribbed buttonbands. The pieces are then hand-felted before being sewn together. Choose a pure wool yarn for this project - our sample uses the classic 2ply Jumper Weight Shetland wool from Jamieson & Smith.
