NEEDLES
Main needle: US 6 (4.00 mm) circular needle (15.75-39.25” / 40-100 cm)
Smaller needle: US 4 (3.50 mm) circular needle (31.5” / 80 cm)
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Larger needle: 1–2 sizes larger than the main needle.

NOTIONS
Stitch markers (4), removable markers (3), scrap yarn or stitch holder, tapestry needle, scissors, 3 buttons (approximately 20 mm in diameter, 3 mm in thickness), spare needle of the same size as the main needle

GAUGE (after wet blocking, measured unstretched)

PATTERN NOTE
Popeye Sweater is a top-down raglan sleeve sweater. It features a Henley neck with large buttons and voluminous sleeves.

It starts at the collar and is worked back and forth to create the Henley neck, then the fronts are joined, and the yoke is worked in the round.

The sleeves are set on hold at the underarms and the body is finished first. The sleeve stitches held on a scrap yarn are then returned to the needle, and with stitches picked up the underarm cast-on, the sleeves are worked in the round.

Finally, stitches are picked up to knit the collar. Then the buttons are attached to complete the sweater.

トップダウンで編むラグランスリーブのセーターです.
ヘンリーネックに大きめのボタン, ボリュームがある袖が特徴です.
襟から往復編みでヘンリーネックを作り, 前身頃を繋げ, 続けて輪編みでヨークを作ります.
袖分けをし, 身頃を編みます.
休めていた袖の目を針に戻し, 脇下の増し目を拾って輪編みで袖を編みます.
襟の目を拾い, 襟を編み, ボタンをつけて完成です.
