This is a recipe for an easy and well fitting heel
for cuff-down knitted socks.
No heelflap.
No gusset.
No need to pick up stitches.
No additional ends to weave in.
Not as tight as a common short row heel.

Sizes: 44 / 48 / 52 / 56 / 60 / 64 / 68 / 72 stitches
Yarn: Any fingering sock yarn,
about 1.8 ounces (50 g)/230 yards (210 m) per skein
Gauge: 2 inches square / 5 cm x 5 cm = 16 stitches and 23 rounds in stockinette stitch
Set of 5 dpns: US 1 or 1 1/2 (2.25 mm or 2.5 mm)

gut sitzende Ferse für Socken, die vom Bündchen
abwärts gestrickt werden.
Ohne Fersenwand.
Ohne Zwickelabnahmen.
