These cozy mittens are a stylish way to keep hands warm on a chilly day. The slip stitch pattern on the main mitten creates a beautifully textured fabric and the folded cuff adds extra warmth.

The mittens are worked from the cuff up, with stitches increased for the thumb gusset then placed on a holder for the thumb to be finished after the rest of the mitten. The texture pattern uses slipped stitches along with knit and purl stitches.

All stitches are slipped purl-wise with the yarn in back. On some rounds this will require moving the yarn to the back before slipping and then to the front to work the next stitch.

Two balls of yarn might be barely enough for the 7.5” size, however three is recommended to ensure there is enough.
