Piccino means little in Italian, even smaller than piccolo. A perfect name for this shawl that uses one skein of fingering yarn and is very decorative in any colour. The pretty cable loooks good on both sides making it truly reversible.

Piccino Shawl is worked from one narrow end to the other, starting with a 5 stitch cast on. Left leaning increases are done every 2 rows on one side of the shawl until maximum width is achieved and half of the yarn has been used. Decreases are then done on the same side until 5 stitches remain.

Depending on the amount of yarn available, the shawl can be made in different sizes by changing the number of repeats.

Pattern is chart only. For tassels see tutorial here https://youtu.be/0h-drbI_d_U

Shown in two yarns: Fabulous Socks by Skein Sisters in Turmeric Latte (yellow) and Madeline Tosh Merino Light in Cousteau (blue).
