The Phouka Scarf was designed for the Phouka from Emma Bull’s urban fantasy novel War for the Oaks, a mischievous Faerie being who can be either a man or a dog. When in human form he’s a very flashy dresser, aided by his ability to conjure his clothes from an endless invisible closet. I think this scarf – elegant and tailored, but with a touch of glitz from the metallic strand spun into the yarn – would appeal to him. The scarf features columns of slipped stitches on a garter stitch background.

This scarf is worked in sock yarn or other fingering weight yarn. Approximately 382 yds of one skein was used for the sample; if you want to make the scarf longer or if you tend to knit loosely, purchasing two skeins is recommended.
