Petticoat Coffee Cozy
Any sport weight yarn is great. For the metallic pink underlayer in two of these photos I used DMC embroidery flosses, all six strands of it together. Pattern includes more information.
I reviewed a crochet book by Iris Rathbone on my old DesigningVashti blog back when I was reviewing early 1970’s crochet books. I’ve seen this kind of stitch pattern in stitch dictionaries, but I really like the version that I found in her book, and worked out a way to do it in the round for this cozy.
Skill Level: Easy.
Double up these cozies to make the cup look like it’s wearing a petticoat. The two pink layers inspired the pattern name.
The original edition of this pattern was published in a pattern booklet available exclusively to new and renewing members of CGOA (Crochet Guild of America) beginning in August 2009. The now out-of-print booklet was called “Across the Board Crochet.”
