Petrie the Dragon
Meet Petrie, a sweet little dragon named after a very special character who lives in the bedtime stories that father once told his small daughter. A green dragon with purple toenails, who went on all manner of adventures with her friends!
Petrie was the 2nd pattern I ever released, way back in 2013, and now she’s gotten a complete makeover! The PDF for the original version is included alongside the new version.
She can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.
My dragon is made using a 4.0 (G) hook and Loops & Thread Impeccable Solids in 3 different colors. You only need a small amount of the secondary colors; perfect for using up scraps!
- Color 1: Grass (230 yards)
- Color 2: Lavender (45 yards)
- Color 3: Eggplant (25 yards)
Petrie is an advanced beginner-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, slip stitches, bobble stitches, increases, decreases, working in the top and bottom of a foundation chain, crocheting back loops, crocheting pieces together, and some seaming.
The pattern is 10-pages long and has plenty of progress photos to help you along your way to making your own darling dragon.
