Peggy's Bearded Iris
This pattern is worked in sport weight wool yarn on size 1 needles. The pattern is worked in stockinette, short rows, I-cord, intarsia and latch hook technique. I used some medium weight wire for stems, and lightweight craft wire for petal shaping. Purple- p, White (w) I also use needle felting to add extra purple to soften the purple white interface. The pattern uses approximately 100 yards white, 70 yards purple and 50 yards green. I like a single strand of wool yarn as the stitches blend together better.
