Pegaso
I have a really large stash—um, I mean collection—of yarn. I find it inspiring. That’s the origin of the Pegaso pullover. I had been staring at a luscious mohair/silk I had in my stash that I knew I needed to get on the needles, so I pulled out my stitch dictionary and started from a lace edging. I realized that the mohair alone would not get me a pullover I wanted to knit or would actually wear, so I added a light fingering in the same color to beef it up a bit. I wanted the body to have an interesting stitch pattern but without lace, and the Diagonal Zigzag pattern did the trick. I honestly didn’t know how I was going to work the bodice until I got there and decided the saddle shoulder would show off the stitch work the best. Add a simple garter edge for the neck, and voila!
