Pattern includes:
Written instructions in American terms, videos for stitches, techniques, diagrams, pattern support via Facebook group

Technique:
Overlay Mosaic Crochet with slanted stitches: each round is made with one color and consists of single crochet in the back loop (sc blo) and double crochet in the front loop (dc flo)

Stitches:
In addition to vertical dc, I also use slanted dc and extended dc (made one or two stitches back or forward), decreases, increases, and occasionally, front post stitches (there is a video and explanation for all stitches)

Size:

• Baby size (fingering/4ply yarn): 92cm x 123cm (36 ¼’’ x 48 ½’’)
• Throw size (DK/8ply yarn): 125cm x 145cm (49 ¼’’ x 57’’)

Materials:

Yarn:
Option 1 (baby size): Scheepjes Organicon (100% Organic Soft Cotton, 50g/ 170m/ 185.9yds) or Scheepjes Cotton 8 (100% cotton, 50g/ 170m/ 185.9 yds)

You will need:

• Yarn1 (lighter for background): 12 skeins/ 600g + 1 extra skein
• Yarn2 (darker for the cat, mouse, and paws): 8 skeins/ 380g + 1 extra skein
• Yarn4 (cat nose and eyes): 1 skein/ 3g each
• Yarn5 (light for reflection in eyes): 1 skein/ 1g
• Yarn6 (main color for double border): 4 skeins/ 170g
• Yarn7 (contrast color for circles on double border): 2 skeins/ 70g
• Optional Yarn3 (cat background instead of Yarn1): 1 skein/ 50g (deduct 50g from Yarn1 if adding Yarn3)

Prototype (Organicon):

• Yarn1 (main lighter color for background) and Yarn7 (border dots): 13 skeins/ 610g in 260 Crocus
• Yarn2 (main darker color and mouse contour embroidery): 8 skeins/ 380g in 261 Night Shadow
• Yarn6 (main border color) and Yarn4 (eyes): 4 skeins/ 170g in 264 Happy Thoughts
• Yarn3 (cat and mouse background): 1 skein/ 50g in 201 Ashen Mink
• Yarn 4 (nose) and Yarn 5 (reflection in the eyes): 1 skein/ 3g in 250 Powder Pink

Yarn Option 2 (for throw size):
Scheepjes Colour Crafter (100% Premium Acrylic, 100g/ 300m/ 328.1yds)

• Yarn1 (light for background): 7 skeins/ 633g

• Yarn2 (dark for the cat, mouse, and paws): 5 skeins/ 415g

• Yarn4 (cat nose or eyes): 1 skein/ 4g each

• Yarn5 (light for reflection in eyes): 1 skein/ 2g

• Yarn6 (double border main color): 3 skeins/ 213g

• Yarn7 (double border contrast color for circles): 1 skein/ 68g

• Optional Yarn3 (cat background instead of Yarn1): 1 skein/ 60g (deduct 60g from Yarn1 if adding Yarn3)

Tools:

• Crochet hooks 3mm (main) and 2.5mm (for the envelope border)
• Stitch markers, tapestry needle
