Pawprints and Hearts
I originally made a variation on this blanket for my friends’ first child. I wanted to combine their love of their dogs with their future love of their baby. This blanket is adaptable enough to work for all genders and will be perfect for your dog loving friends.
This would also make an adorable blanket for a small dog or a puppy, just be sure to use dog friendly materials!
If you want a larger blanket then use heavier yarn and it will keep your babies and puppies warm all winter.
Difficulty – Intermediate
Techniques used:
• UK terms – BLDC – Back loop double crochet,
• US terms - BLSC – Back loop single crochet,
• Slip Stitches
What you will need for baby blanket size:
• Colour A (background) 2-3 balls of dk yarn – 100g balls
• Colours B (pattern) 1 x ball of dk yarn – 100g balls
I recommend Stylecraft Special DK for this as I love the vibrancy of the colours and the yarn is a lovely texture and easy to work with.
