PARALLELOGRAM HAT
My Parallelogram Hat is inspired by a concept building in Singapore that has a facade of tessellating parallelograms that flip back and forth. I first knitted this hat to take on a long holiday to China in the winter and it got a lot of wear. I’ve already knitted another three and have plans to make more!
It’s a great one ball, quick knit, for a slouchy beanie with a fun geometric pattern.
Yarn -
Rowan Big Wool (photographed in sh088
Golden Olive, sh085 Vintage and sh087
Mallard) x 1 ball
Or the same meterage of an equivalent yarn
Sample weighs approx. 83g and uses approx. 67m
Needles -
7mm and 8mm needles of your choice for working a small circumference in the round (DPN’s, small circular needle or large circular needles for working the magic loop technique)
We used 100cm long circulars and the magic loop technique.
Other -
1 closed stitch marker for denoting beginning / end of each round
Optional - 1 Faux fur vegan pom pom (we used Rowan yarns pom pom in 04 steel grey), you can always make a yarn pom pom instead

One size (due to the size of the pattern repeat) Circumference measures 43.5cm relaxed above brim
